How do you know when a guy likes you as more than a friend? GUYS?

I started talking with a guy who is about 5 years younger than I. I am in my early thirties. It was casual conversation over a tree that had fallen in my yard. He wanted to take the wood for his shops’ wood burning stove. From this point small texts have been exchanged and a night out has been planned. The texts are on the flirty side in my opinion. How do I figure out if he likes me as more than just casual aquaintences. The night out is just for drinks nothing too formal. Help, figuring out you guys, is just as hard as them figuring us girls out!

If the night out is just the two of you going for drinks, then yes, he probably does like you. Men do not tend to go for drinks with women they barely know for too many other reasons.
