According to evolutionists, all creatures evolved from a single cell life form. Did plant life also evolve?
According to the law of natural selection and survival of the fittest, all life forms evolved over billions of years into intelligent life. The amoeba became a fish, which became a lizard, which became a monkey which became man. But what about plant life? Where did plants come from and how did we get so may different varieties? Did the fern evolve into an apple tree?
No, what scientists say is that all modern organisms evolved from cellular ancestors. The original cellular life forms may have originated several times. Some of the first types of cells combined endosymbiotically (as novangelis points out above) to form the three domains of life that we see in the modern world. Many other lines of cellular life undoubtedly lived but went extinct long ago.

In this diagram, where the Domain lines converge lies our common cellular ancestors (unknown) and before them is a sequence of unknown noncellular systems. Because the Archaea are closest to this point in the diagram, they are the least evolved cells on earth. (Evolution is applicable only to cellular life; natural selection and survival of the fittest have no bearing on the origin of living things but explains their genetic diversity.)
All plants, animals and fungi belong to Eukarya. In the diagram, all animal life lies in the terminal branch labeled Homo (the human genus); all plant life is in the branch labeled Zea (the genus for corn), all fungi are on the branch labeled Saccharomyces (the genus for yeast). The rest of Eukarya are the protists, for the most part single-celled organisms.
So yes, of course plants evolved just as we did, and they evolved quite closely to animals when compared to the rest of the life on this planet. We may share a quarter or more of our genes with both the plants and the fungi.

A wonderful addition to the outdoor decoration of almost any space in plant life. Although trees and shrubs are always an important part of any landscape design, climbing plants can add an extra touch. Clematis is a variety that produces purple/blue bell shaped flowers and fern like plant life. Wisteria is a hardy climbing plant that boasts lilac colored flowers that grow in the shape of beans. My personal favorite climbing plants are the star jasmine, which produces leather like, dark green leaves and beautiful white blooms that have an unmatched, abundant perfume.
Flowers can add a perfumed as well as visual aspect to your outdoor area. You may choose climbing plants that flower each year. These will take several years to reach their full potential but once they do they will create climbing plants of color on a gazebo, a fence or even up the side of a house. If you are looking for a variety that will provide lots of color, try the blue trumpet vine. This climbing plant blooms from autumn through summer and has bright blue flowers on a twining stem.
Another species of this plant are also available that produce white flowers. Another colorful climbing plant is the Mandeville. It produces flowers of pink, yellow and rose, and puts out quite a lovely smell. Taking care of any type of living thing requires special care and that includes plants whether they are found indoors or outdoors. Climbing plants will require regular watering as well as fertilization from time to time. Again you’ll want to consult with a gardening specialist concerning what fertilizer is best.
If you are an avid gardener, try giving one a bit of space in your garden. You may be surprised at how well climbing plants grow and are able to adapt to their environments. Some climbing plants require a stable base from which to flourish, while others can adapt quite well growing up against a wall or fence.
